MacOS Big Sur, unveiled in June 2020 at WWDC, is the newest version of macOS, set to be released this fall. MacOS Big Sur features an overhauled look, and it's such a big update that Apple bumped. Apple today seeded a new macOS Big Sur 11.0.1 beta to developers for testing purposes, with the new beta replacing the existing macOS Big Sur 11 beta 10 update that was released two weeks ago. With the 2018 update, Apple didn't change the design of the Mac mini, but it does come in a new color: Space Gray. Space Gray is now the only Mac mini option, with no Silver choice available. Apple also releases system updates that keep your Mac secure and stable. When a new major version of OS X is released, you can download the upgrade for free from the App Store. If you're using an older version of OS X, updates are handled through the Software Update utility.
